Materials
Red cedar (or pressure-treated wood)
Wood glue + screws
Brad nails
Hinges + dowel
Outdoor wood finish
Outdoor cushion
Steps
Cut Your Wood
2 base pieces (cushion length)
2 cross supports
19 slats (23 ¾" each, cut in half)
Build the Base
Cut dado grooves for cross supports.
Add pocket-hole braces for stability.
Assemble the Top
Slot slats into supports.
Secure structural pieces with glue + screws.
Add Adjustment Arms
Drill pivot holes in support arms.
Attach with hinges + dowel for 3 reclining positions.
Finish & Style
Sand edges.
Apply waterproofing finish.
Add cushions, rug, and solar lights for a cozy backyard setup.
